Stainless steel produced from iron-based alloys having 11% chromium that prevents iron from rusting and makes it a useful product. 17-4ph stainless steel plate is a martensitic precipitated providing high strength and good corrosion resistance. It is composed of 17 % chromium and 4% nickel. SS 71-4ph Sheet can be heat treated to high levels of strength and hardness I.e when heat treated to condition H900, it gets hardened up to 44 Rc. It is used in the petrochemical industry. The Type 17-4 PH Shim Sheet is used to adjust for a better fit or provide a level surface. It is recognized by the SUS304 naming convention and has a maximum hardness of Rockwell C38.
UNS S17400 Strip is type 630 martensitic stainless steel that uses niobium. It should not be used at temperatures above 300 degrees celsius and for cryogenic service. It finds application in gate valves and nuclear waste processing. The Stainless Steel Alloy 630 Cold Rolled Plate as mentioned, produces the highest strength when heat treated in the 900 Fahrenheit. It is magnetic and easily welded for fabrication. It supports aging treatments I.e Conditions H900, H1025, and H1150D. The standardized asme sa 693 type 630 Hot Rolled Plate has a density of 7.75 g/cm3 and a specific heat capacity of 460 J/kg Celsius. It gives minimum ultimate tensile strength of 1170 MPa when hardened using heat treatment at 496 Celsius and air-cooled. Its equivalent W. NR. 1.4542 Perforated Sheet has a melting range of 1404 to 1440 Celsius and modulus of elasticity of 196 GPa. It has a minimum yield strength of 790 MPa when hardened at 593 Celsius. It is subject to brittle fractures.
17-4ph h900 clad plate uses temperature at 900 Fahrenheit for 4 hours to harden the element. However, thermal cutting operations should be avoided for this, instead, mechanical cutting operations are to be used. 17-4ph h1025 Mesh Plate is fabricated by the heat treatment at 1025 Fahrenheit for four hours and then air-cooled. Cold forming is supported by it but it can be done on fully annealed conditioned plates. On the other hand, 17-4ph h1150 plate supports hot forming and it is heated uniformly at 950-1200 Celsius. However, the cooling should be done at a lower temperature of 25 Celsius.
Alloy 17-4PH Chequered Plate is used in aerospace, food processing. It has a tensile strength of 1310 MPa and a yield strength of 1207 Mpa at H925 condition. It gets welded by standard process SMAW and GTAW. AMS 5604 Coil maintains high strength at 600 Fahrenheit and provides good resistance to stress cracking in lower strength.
17-4ph plate suppliers provide stainless steel having a high yield strength of up to 160 - 190 ksi and follow international standards.
