What is Seamless Steel Pipe?
A seamless steel pipe is a component, which is formed by passing a strong billet over a piercing rod. This creates a hollow shell that enables fluids and gases to be passed through them. Some of these pipes harden after the manufacturing process and don’t require additional cold rolling procedures to enhance their integrity. These seamless pipes don’t possess any seams and don’t require any welding operations. The pipes within this range possess superior strength and can withstand heavy loads and pressures. They are also designed to withstand extreme temperatures and perform better than most welded and ERW pipes across different systems.
What is Cold Drawn Seamless Tubing ?
A cold-drawn seamless tubing is produced by cold drawing a bigger seamless pipe immediately after the hot drawing procedure. The temperature of the pipe is brought down to, room temperature and it is pulled through a die and plug. This enables the interior surface of the tubing to be smooth with enhanced tolerances. The process is preferred for small-sized pipes where a hot drawing process is not possible. These cold-drawn seamless tubing exhibit close tolerances with smooth surfaces and enhanced machinability, making them ideal for a range of applications in different stress-induced environments.
Sanitary Tubes Vs Tubing for Corrosion-Resistance
Sanitary tubes are hygienic fittings, which are used to transport sewage and wastes. These tubes can be readily dismantled or cleaned manually. They possess a smooth surface with a roughness average (Ra) this helps in eliminating any valleys or peaks in the line. The tubes don’t have any pockets, threading’s or bends. This helps in reducing the bacterial growth within the tubes.
Corrosion-resistance tubing is designed to suffice in extreme conditions. These tubes don’t require periodic cleaning in the line as they possess superior tolerances. The tubing can supply fluids and gases through treacherous terrains with constant bends and connections.

SMLS Precision Pipe wall thickness and properties
An SMLS precision pipe is a carbon, alloy, or stainless pipe having high precision sizes. These pipes possess a smooth surface with strict tolerances. They don’t require oxide coating on the interior or exterior surface. The pipes are designed to suffice in high pressures and are highly leak-proof. These components can be hot and cold rolled to meet the requirements of different applications. For the hot rolling process, the pipe has a tolerance of +/- 0.1% OD. In cold rolling, the precision pipe has diameters between 10mm to 30mm for tolerance of +/- 0.4%. For premium tolerance of +/- 0.45%, it can have a thickness between 30mm to 50mm.

Hot Finished Seamless Hydraulic Steel Tubes
A seamless hydraulic hot finished steel tubes are produced by passing a steel bloom or billet punching a hole in the tube. These hydraulic tubes are cylinder-shaped components, which are attached to a range of hydraulic systems. They play a pivotal role in the passage of fluids and gases amongst other piping components. Since they are not processed further, their production costs are lower compared to cold finished components. However, they don’t exhibit close dimensional tolerances but can be machined to meet the requirements of the application. The pressure rating in these components is determined by DIN 2413 at normal temperature.
