What is Nickel Alloy Fasteners?

Nickel alloy fasteners have nickel as their primary element. These fasteners are used in combination with other metals like titanium, copper, aluminum, titanium to give them enhanced performance and tolerances. The fasteners in this range exhibit superior corrosion resistance properties along with excellent hardness due to their superior chemical composition. There are different types of fasteners within this grade which include screws, nuts, washers, bolts, nails, anchors, reverts, etc. These fasteners mechanically affix two or more metal equipment together within the system. The components strongly bind with all types of metal modules and securely seal the modules for long periods.

The versatile fasteners are characterized by their superior resistance to high pressures and temperatures in different environments. The nickel alloy fasteners can be permanent or dismantled without causing any damage to the existing system. Nickel alloy 200 and 201 are the most common grades of nickel alloy fasteners. Both these grades exhibit superior tensile and yield strengths. They possess a density of 8.902 gm/cc with excellent elongation properties. Their good magnetic and electric properties give them an edge in the market. A nickel alloy fastener has an average life span of 30 years or more depending on the application and environment. Apart from this, the material is recyclable and can be reused.

What is Difference between Nickel alloy 200 and Nickel 201

Nickel alloy 200 and 201 are both commercially pure nickel grades. Both these grades are low-carbon modules that offer a range of advantages. However, both of them can be distinguished by certain features.

  • The major difference between both these components is the carbon content in their composition. A 201 nickel alloy contains only 0.02% of maximum carbon compared to 0.15% of nickel 200 alloys.
  • The nickel 200 is a pure grade nickel component, while the nickel 201 is a low carbon modification of the 200 grade.
  • The nickel 200 has an enhanced hardness and work-hardening rate in comparison to the nickel 201 grade. 
  • Nickel 201 is suited in applications that exceed 600 degrees F. Nickel 200 grade performs well in temperatures below 600 degrees F.
  • Nickel 201 is more suited for cold forming procedures in comparison to nickel 200 grade.

What id Nickel 200 Hex Bolt ?

Nickle 200 hex bolt is a six-sided bolt that has external threads which are fixed on the component using a nut. A hex bolt can be fully or partially threaded, consisting of a hex cap or a hex tap. The hexagonal shape of these bolts allows them to be easily fitted and dismantled across different components. The bolts offer exceptional strength and performance in environments below 600 degrees F. Their high tolerance to alkaline and neutral salts leads to low corrosion rates. The unique designs and threads used to produce these bolts enable them to fasten wood, steel, and a range of construction materials.
