Zirconium Studs is a very strong, malleable, ductile, lustrous silver-gray metal. It has similar chemical and physical properties to those of titanium. Zirconium Bolts is extremely resistant to heat and corrosion. It is light in weight compared to steel and its hardness is similar to copper. Zirconium Screws does not dissolve in acids and alkalis. It is used with alloys such as zircaloy, which is used in nuclear applications since it does not readily absorb neutrons. It is also used in percussion caps, catalytic converters and furnace bricks.
ASTM B493 Zr 702 Fasteners is mainly used as a refractory and opacifier, although small amounts are used as an alloying agent for its strong resistance to corrosion.UNS R60702 Nuts/Studs forms a variety of inorganic and organometallic compounds such as zirconium dioxide and zirconocene dichloride, respectively. Astm B493 Zirconium 702 Fasteners is hard and brittle at lesser purities. It is highly resistant to corrosion by acids, alkalis, salt water and other factory. Uns R60702 Nuts melting point is 1855 °C and the boiling point is 4371 °C. It has a high affinity for oxygen that results in the formation of a protective oxide layer in air at room temperature.
Zirconium Socket Cap Screws particularly useful to industry is their resistance to hydrochloric acid where they exhibit a corrosion rate of less than 5mpy at all concentrations and temperatures in excess of the boiling point. Zirconium Threaded Rod is often used when strong acids and severe corrosion are used or expected. The most used Zirconium threaded rods are known as Zirconium 702 and they are famous for their superior corrosion resistance in some of the harshest environments.
