Bars are long products, shaped into round, square, or hexagonal cross-sections, and have diameters ranging between 12-50mm. Alloy 20 Square Bar is stainless steel developed for applications that involved sulfuric acid. It resists chloride ion corrosion as well. Alloy 20 Round Bar Price is high because of its high tensile strength of 80000 psi and a high melting point of 1443 degrees celsius. The elongation in the annealed state is around 30%. It is known as Nickel Alloy 20 Hex Bar because it uses almost 32 to 38% of Nickel and 3-4% of copper. It contains niobium for stabilization against sensitization. Industries have standardized it as Din 2.4660 Flat Bar and it has a tensile strength of 550 N/mm2, yield strength of 240 N/mm2, and hardness of 217 HB. It is a low-carbon, niobium stabilized austenitic alloy. Its equivalent ASTM B473 Uns N08020 Rod has a density of 8.1 g/cm3 and a specific heat capacity of 456 J/kg K. It is thus used in phosphor and sulfur acid plants. Its modulus of elasticity is 202 kN / mm2 which provides resistance to chloride-ion induced stress corrosion cracking.

Alloy 20 Welding Rod is different from the bar as it is only cylindrical. It has a tensile strength of 80 ksi and minimum yield strength set to 35 ksi. It can be formed by Hot and cold working but the applications are limited to 1000 Fahrenheit as per ASME. Alloy 20 Tig Rod is also known as 20Cb3 and has a tensile strength of 595 MPa and yield strength of 273 MPa. This rod is used in welding methods and has DCEP Polarity. It gets 37% elongated when heated. After hot working, it is annealed by heating to 1725 to 1850 Fahrenheit for half an hour per inch. Similar to this, Alloy 20 Filler Rod supports hot forging. It gets formed in the temperature range of 2100 to 2250 Fahrenheit. When stress relieving is required, heating it below 1000 Fahrenheit followed by quenching in water is required.
