What is Titanium Round Bar?

There are many grades encountered in Titanium Hex Bar  which have their different properties, benefits, and used accordingly in industrial applications including Titanium Grade 2 Round Bar, Titanium Grade 5, Titanium 6246 (6-2-4-6) and Titanium Grade 19, more commonly known as Titanium Beta-C. One of them is Grade 2 Titanium Rod and due to excellent weldability, strength, ductility and formability it became first choice by many industries such as Marine, Energy & Power etc.

The Hollow Titanium Rods  specification covers annealed bars and grills made from either titanium or its alloys. All material grades covered in the Titanium Flat Bar Stock  need to conform to the required ASTM B348 Chemical Composition requirements. Elements that are intentionally added to the Titanium Hollow Bar  melt have to be first identified, followed by their analysis and then reported in the chemical analysis. Specimens for tension tests on the ASME Sb 348 must be machined and the tensile properties have to be determined using a specified strain rate through the yield strength and using an increasing rate. Each annealed material as mentioned in the ASTM B348 Specification may be furnished by either descaled, ground, sandblasted or rough turned.

Grade 1 titanium or ASTM B348 Gr 1 is the first of four commercially pure titanium grades. grade 1 Titanium ASTM B348 is the softest and most ductile of these grades. the metal also possesses many beneficial properties such as  - the greatest formability, excellent corrosion resistance and high impact toughness. Because of all these properties, Grade 1 titanium is the material of choice for any application which requires ease of formability and is commonly available in the form of titanium plate and tubing. These applications include: Architecture, Automotive parts, Medical industry,  Marine industry, Airframe structure, Chemical processing, Chlorate manufacturing, Dimensional stable anodes and Desalination.

ASTM B348-13 Grade 23 is similar to Grade 5, with the exception of having a lower content of elements i.e. - oxygen, nitrogen and iron. ASTM B348 Grade 23 titanium offers better ductility as well as fracture toughness as compared to that of Titanium Grade 5. view Titanium Round Bar Price

Titanium Grade 7 or ASTM B348 Gr.7 is mechanically and physically equivalent to Grade 2. The only exception is he addition of the interstitial element palladium, thereby making it an alloy. ASTM B348 Gr.7 possesses excellent properties such as weldability, fabricality, and the alloy is the most corrosion resistance of all titanium alloys as well. In fact, grade 7 Titanium ASTM B348 is most resistant to corrosion in reducing acids which is why the metal can be used in chemical processes and production equipment components.
