Inconel pipe is made up of nickel-chromium alloy with additional aluminium in it. The unique physical and mechanical properties of the Inconel pipe makes it so popular across various industries. They are resistant to oxidation-corrosion and are well suited for services in some extreme environments which are subjected to pressure and heat. The Inconel pipes are widely used in industries that involve the use of high temperatures in a corrosive environment. The material of the piping helps offer protection from any form of oxidation and carbonization. It helps to increase the work efficiency in the plant and thus increase the overall production.
The Inconel seamless pipes are extruded and drawn from a billet whereas the Inconel welded pipes come from a strip which is roll formed and then given the shape of a tube. The welded inconel pipes are generally more affordable when compared to the seamless pipes because the former uses metal plates. The welded ones are also available in long continuous lengths which is a necessity for a few industries. When it comes to the applicational difference of both the pipes, it depends on several factors like cost, strength, media type, and so on. While some use these pipes for transporting their products, others use it inside the plant for the manufacturing process.
The Inconel pipe has several applications across various industries. They are used for transportation of products as well as inside the plants in the manufacturing process. Some common product and technological applications of the Inconel pipes are in aircraft ducting systems, chemical process equipment, turbine shroud rings, specialized seawater equipment, etc.
The Inconel 625 pipe material is one of the most widely used products across various industries and according to ASTM B444, they are usually cold worked. The ASTM B444 UNS N06625 Gr 1 Pipes are generally supplied in an annealed condition whereas the Grade 2 ones are available in a solution annealed condition. The Material 2.4856 Alloy 625 Pipe is also known for its properties such as corrosion resistance.
This can be achieved best by using Inconel metal as it can be easily welded with other materials. You can even weld the same with steel and other different materials. SMT is leading manufacturer & supplier of Inconel Seamless Pipe. We are PED approved trader & stockholder of Sch40 Inconel Pipe. SMT is well known saudi aramco approved exporter & distributor of Inconel Clad Pipe. SMT is stockist of Inconel Alloy thin Wall Pipe, Inconel Round Pipe.

They offer high-resistance towards corrosion and oxidation. They have a high melting point and also have several high temperature applications. These are ductile, electroplated, and possess several other mechanical and physical properties, which makes them ideal to be used in the above applications. They come with enhanced durability which makes the pipe long-lasting.
The ASTM B167 pipes consist of materials such as nickel, chromium, tungsten, and iron in its alloy and they are specially designed for high-strength and corrosion resisting applications upto a temperature range of 704 degrees C. They are used for both transporting products and in-plant manufacturing process across several industries, like:
These pipes are specially designed to be used in high-temperature applications and they are also resistant to pure and impure organic acid, along with seawater corrosion environments. These are ideal for applications that require high strength and good corrosion resistance.

Welding of Inconel pipes is a crucial thing as they are used in critical industries like nuclear and aerospace. The best way to weld an inconel pipe is the gas tungsten arc welding method. This welding process is reliable and capable of creating reliable welds according to the given specifications. The GTAW method of welding is recognized for Inconel pipe welding across industries and should always be followed. A tip is to use the Inconel 625 material as the filler as it is one of the easiest Inconel alloys that is available for welding. Also, always use an automated machine for welding the Inconel pipes perfectly.
There primary difference between SCH 40 Inconel pipe and the SCH 10 Inconel pipe is that the former comes with a greater wall thickness when compared to schedule 10. That is why they are more resistant to high pressure. They are suitable for bearing pressure that goes up to 354 bar for the small-sized pipes, and 116 bar for the large-sized pipes. These pipes are widely used in various industrial settings that involve high-temperature and corrosive environments.

Heat Treatment Alloy 625 | Combination 625 has three essential warm medicines:, (1) High Arrangement Temper – 2000/2200°F (1093/1204°C), discuss extinguish or speedier., (2) Low Arrangement Anneal – 1700/1900°F (927/1038°C), discuss extinguish or speedier., (3) Stretch Relieve – 1650°F (899°C), discuss extinguish. |
Heat Treatment Alloy 600 | Alloy 600 isn't an age solidifying alloy; cold working is the as it were accessible implies of solidifying. Softening by tempering starts at almost 1600°F (871°C), and is sensibly total after 10 to 15 minutes of warming at 1800°F (982°C). Over this temperature, grain development may be frightful, in spite of the fact that exceptionally brief warming at 1900°F will cause total softening without undue grain development. Since the rate of cooling has no impact on the softening, the fabric may be water extinguished or discuss cooled. |
