The duplex sheet is of austenitic-ferritic grade having equivalent composition. It is designed to provide corrosion-resistant and high-strength sheets. It uses higher chromium content upto 28%. ASTM A240 UNS S32205 Plate has a minimum yield strength of about 70 ksi and tensile strength of a minimum 655 MPa. It gets 25 % elongated in the annealed condition. Thus it is used in the chemical industry for pipework systems. ASME SA 240 S32205 Sheet has a hardness of 293 BHN and it is similar to S31803. Its size ranges from 1.5 mm to 50mm. It has a specific heat capacity of 460 J/kg - K and thus is used in piping and heat exchangers. Duplex Steel SA 240 UNS S32205 Foil provides upto 35% higher breaking load than ASTM 316. Further, it provides good weldability and good fatigue resistance. Thus it is finding applications in seawater pumps and valves and scrubber systems. Duplex Grade SA 240 S32205 Clad Plate has yield strength equivalent to 450 MPa in the annealed condition. Apart from this, it supports workability in the temperature range of 950 to 1150 Celsius. However, it is stronger below 900 Celsius. The Hot rolled Duplex 2205 SA 240 UNS S32205 Plate involves rolling steel at high temperatures of more than 1700 Fahrenheit and then it is molded and air-cooled at room temperature. TIG Welding and plasma welding can be done on it. Another, 2B Finish Duplex SA 240 S32205 Sheet is the most used steel and is used in chemical and food processing industries. It is supplied in annealed plus lightly cold rolled condition. The 2B refers to the surface finish standard. Apart from plates, SA-240 S32205 Coil yields strength changes to 500 MPa in the annealed state. Similarly, the tensile strength becomes 700 MPa but the elongation reduces to 20%.
ASTM A240 GR S32205 Chequered Plate has a melting range is between temperatures 1385 to 1443 Celsius and Poisson’s ratio of 0.3. Its modulus of elasticity reduces as temperature increases I.e the value is 1.65 MPa at 300 Celsius. SA 240 S32205 Duplex Steel Strip is a mixture of plate and coil properties with a yield strength of 440 MPa and tensile strength of 650 MPa.
SA 240 GR S32205 Shim sheet has a high modulus of elasticity of 180-200 GPa at a high temperature of 300 Celsius. With an increase in temperature, the thermal capacity also increases such as going to 590 J/kg C at 300 degrees. A240 UNS S32205 Perforated Sheet is similar to other sheets and is used in auto parts, computers, and textile manufacturing industries.
