Generally, the 2507 Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe are used for applications including Chemical process industries, heat exchangers, vessels, and piping, Oil and gas industry equipment, Power industry FGD systems, utility and industrial scrubber systems, absorber towers, ducting, and piping, Offshore platforms, heat exchangers, process and service water systems, fire-fighting systems, injection and ballast water systems as well as Desalination plants, high pressure RO-plant and seawater piping.

Chemically, the 25cr Super Duplex Pipe contains about 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, including 7% nickel in its alloy. Hence, the name 25cr super duplex stainless steel. Unlike austenitic stainless steels, the Super Duplex Seamless Pipe  tends to have a higher rate of corrosion resistance when applied in various environments. Thus, the Duplex 2507 Pipe is considered to be versatile by buyers and manufactures as well.

A major advantage the Super Duplex Tube  has over its conventional ferritic and austenitic stainless steel counterparts is that it is possible to achieve weight savings this super duplex alloy grade. Which means that due to the higher tensile strength and toughness properties of the 2507 Stainless Steel Pipe, a lighter gauged pipe can me produced with no compromise whatsoever to either the appearance, strength as well as corrosion resistance properties. In fact, a lighter gauged Duplex 2507 Pipe results in low fabrication costs, which in turn reduces the over all cost of the pipe to be manufactured in this particular grade. Besides the conventionally used austenitic grade 316 stainless steel, Super Duplex 2507 Pipe could also be used for marine applications. This is particularly because the stainless steel Duplex 2507 Pipe has the ability to resist corrosion in brine or salt water or marine environments.

Another important aspect of the corrosion resistance of the 2507 Pipe is its resistance to chlorine based solutions. For e.g. In marine environments, the 2507 Super Duplex Pipe material is in constant contact with the sea water, which can contain some amounts of chlorine when at sea. Or when in close proximity to the sea, chlorine compounds are carried across through air and they get deposited on the surface of these 2507 Pipes. Apart from chlorine in marine environments, generally the Saf 2507 Pipe is also used in the chemical processing and petrochemical industries. In these industries, the Alloy 2507 Pipe tends to encounter a lot of stresses, in terms of corrosive media, flow rate of the medium as well as pressure and temperature, which could add some stresses on these pipes.

These instrumentation 2507 Super Duplex Tubing are visible in various  processing industries such as natural gas, oil & gas, power, cryogenic, and performance-critical OEM industries. 2507 Super Duplex Welded Tubing could be manufactured in customised thicknesses and sizes in order to meet the specific requirements of our clients.

Although the working pressure of welded super duplex grade 2507 Tube tends to be 20% lesser as compared to that of a similar stainless steel grade seamless tube, as a parameter, the alloy’s working pressure is not considered to be a determining factor while choosing seamless Alloy 2507 Tubing material over welded alloy 2507 SS tube for analyser sample lines. The difference in potential impurities between both types of tubes is what reduces the corrosion resistance of the finished tube, which is why seamless Duplex 2507 Tubing has been specified. The weld area of the Duplex 2507 Tubing is considered to be inhomogeneous. Hence, 2507 Super Duplex Welded Tubing exhibits different malleability, less resistance to corrosion as well as greater dimensional variation. Drawing is generally practised on welded 2507 Super Duplex Tubing material. Drawing operation reduces these anomalies.
