nickel 200 wire is a solid solution strengthened which is commercially known as pure wrought alloys. The lower carbon content of it makes it resistant to graphitization and therefore less subject to embrittlement. It is useful in the chemical, electronics, power generation, aerospace, petrochemical, and marine engineering industries. Typical applications where it is used are electroplating and electronic components, caustic evaporators, food processing equipment, storage equipment and caustic handling, synthetic fiber production, salt production and other processes where fluorine and sodium hydroxide are used.
0.025 mm nickel wire has high composite strength and it is less prone to peeling or cracking. It offers excellent resistance to corrosion in neutral and reducing media as well as in oxidizing atmospheres. nickel alloy wires is often used in environments containing alkalies, and it has varying use in anhydrous, sulfuric, hydrochloric, hydrofluoric and non-aerated organic acids. It is resistant to stress corrosion cracking in chloride salts and to attack from non-oxidizing halides.Hot working temperatures of Ni 200 wire should be in the range of 1200°F to 2250°F with heavy forming to be performed at temperatures above 1600°F. Annealing should be done at a temperature range of 1300°F to 1600°F.
