Incoloy Alloy A-286 Round Bar (AMS 5732 / UNS S66286 / W. Nr. 1.4980) is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and titanium. It is age-hardenable for high mechanical properties. The alloy maintains good strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to about 1300°F (700°C). The high strength and excellent fabrication characteristics of Alloy A-286 Round Bar make it useful for various components of aircraft and industrial gas turbines. Nickel Alloy A-286 is also used for Round Bar applications in automotive engine and manifold components subject to high levels of heat and stress and in the offshore oil and gas industry. Incoloy A-286 is a ferrous-based high temperature and high strength alloy. Heat treatment according to AMS 5525 requires a solution anneal at 1800°F, air cool. Age at 1325°F for 16 hours and then air cool.

Incoloy Alloy A-286 Welding:
Welding procedures and processes are the same as used for stainless steel. The area to be welded should be clean. Preheating or post welding heat treatment is not required for this alloy.
